I'm back...

dchenesOver the last two weeks, I:
Did a lot of nothing and enjoyed it immensely.
Got my nails done for the first time in my life, and remembered why I don't wear nail polish (8 nails were chipped in less than 24 hours).
Built the summer's sand castle and got the summer's sunburn (the two signs of officially being on vacation).
Did a lot of cross stitching, including finishing the project I was thoroughly sick of.
Made a really marvelous peach pie from farmers'-market peaches that had been sitting in the fridge for a week before I got around to doing anything with them.
Had a couple of very vivid dreams, which were distinctly odd but not disturbing. One involved getting about a quart of juice out of a single lemon, and the other involved dealing with the flood from an overflowing washing machine.
Read a couple of very long books.
Only thought about work once a day or so.
All in all, it was a good vacation. Now, it's time for lunch.
