There are roughly a zillion things I need to think about. I don't even know where to start thinking about some of them.

When we went for our traditional walk between dinner and pie on Thanksgiving, we saw a marsh hawk sitting in a bush on somebody's front lawn. It had caught something and was having its own dinner, and chirping to itself. (Yes, hawks chirp.) It didn't seem to be bothered at all by the fact that there were ten people standing there staring at it.

I can't get the DVD player I inherited from my sister to work. I think I'm missing a coax cable. On top of that, the DVD player is exactly 1/4 inch too wide to fit into my TV cabinet next to the VCR, and is too thick to fit on top of the VCR. I'm beginning to think that "free, and worth the price" basically describes the thing. Sigh.

I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow, and go pick up the paper I didn't get the e-mail about until after the office was closed. If I hadn't had to go to work today, I would have had the paper already.

Life is confusing.

Does your TV have an S-video port? If so, you can hook the DVD player to the TV using an S-video cable, available at finer Radio Shack stores everywhere.

Hawks are fascinating - I once saw once eating a gutted pigeon on a bank of pure white snow.
