I think whatever is going on in my sinuses is a cold, not allergies. Especially in light of having been sneezed on a couple of times last week on the bus. So I am now a somewhat sneezy beast myself. Snip, thankfully, is not.

This was a more eventful weekend than I thought it was going to be. On Friday night I finally did go see Infinity War, which is the first movie since The Two Towers to make me say "Whaddya mean I have to wait until NEXT YEAR?" when the lights came on again. Can't wait to see how they get themselves out of this one.

I was going to take Saturday as a "see if the sinuses improve" day and do the running around on Sunday, but got talked into going to the Melrose Pops concert instead. Which was lovely, and included a baritone whose acting (and singing) I liked quite a lot. The conductor was very energetic and reminded me of Chroma the Great from The Phantom Tollbooth, except he wasn't seven feet tall. It was a long night, though, and I was feeling Not Great by the time I got to bed and spent Sunday feeling Not Great and didn't get the running around done. So now I've got exactly no groceries in the house except cat food and almonds.

The Great Cat Food Quest seems to be over, because upon doing some research I discovered that Purina Beyond is grain-free, available at the grocery store, less expensive and larger kibbled than Wellness. I think one of the things Lily objects to about the new formula Wellness is the small kibbles. So I bought two pounds of Purina Beyond indoor (salmon and sweet potatoes, apparently), and Lily has been eating it like she's starving. I didn't see her actually eat it on Saturday, but somebody ate it and I assume it was her because Snip hates change. On Sunday I put it down and she ate almost all of it instantly, and got too full for her pill pocket. Fortunately the vet told me she can skip a dose occasionally and it won't hurt. This morning she got the pill pocket first, and ate almost all of the dry food before I left. I'm used to her breakfast time being 10:30ish, not 7:45ish. I guess she likes this stuff. The only problem with it is that Purina is owned by Nestle and I hate Nestle as a company (giving up Poland Spring seltzer hurt, but Nestle owns them too). But I'd rather see Lily eat. If I can get her hipbones to stop sticking out, I'll be happy. She seems to be enjoying life just fine, but she's skinny.
