dchenesGot all the pool sessions done and signed off on as of Sunday. I know that the dive shop knows that, because on Monday I got the "congratulations, you now get free pool sessions for life!" email. Tomorrow I have to go to the shop and order a hood, because I am so sick of getting my hair snagged in my snorkel clip, and sign up for the open water dives. (REALLY not looking forward to driving myself to and from Barnstable. But I don't think there's any other way to do it. I wish I didn't live surrounded by aggressive drivers, because they don't help my own confidence at all.)
Today I would be spending most of the day outdoors if I didn't have to spend it at work. It's glorious out. I dragged myself back in from lunch by the scruff. I hope the Hairy Beasts are enjoying the open windows at home, too. I opened them last night on account of having made garlic shrimp for dinner and despite it being very tasty, I didn't really want the whole place to smell like garlic shrimp for the next three days. And now I'm out of shrimp until sometime around Christmas when big ones go on sale again.
I got the new Pogo book yesterday, and it's got lots of my favorite stuff in it, including the Sunday strips with the door in the middle of nowhere. I've been waiting for that for years now. Not saying I'll die happy if I don't ever get the rest of the books, but I'm glad I got this one. And I even had bookshelf space for it. I had to take a lot of chorus music out of the bookshelf, though, and I still don't have a really splendid place to keep it. I think I need to invest in a music-file box. But I'd have to figure out a place to put that, and the cycle goes on...
