Oh, this is going to be fun. If the calendar is correct, my boss will only be here for four weeks in the next four months: next week, for one week in early March, and for the first two weeks of April. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of shooting the messenger from people who want me to schedule meetings with her. Maybe it's fortunate that I won't be here on Fridays either until April.

I made clam dip for New Year's Eve, because if I wanted either a roast duck or interesting premade appetizers, I should have bought them before Christmas. Harumpf. Unfortunately I didn't quite want clam dip on New Year's Eve, so now I'm going to be eating it for the rest of this week. Oh well. Next week is soon enough to go back to black coffee and no cheese and way the hell less starch.

Will you share your recipe for clam dip? Because it sounds like something I need in my life.

Combine one package of cream cheese, the clams and some of the juice from a can of chopped clams (save the rest of the juice), and enough Worcestershire sauce to make you happy. Best made the day before you eat it, and it usually tightens up in the fridge, so add some of the saved clam juice to loosen it again.

You don't want canned clams with added sugar (yes, they do that, and I have no idea why).
