dchenesI've been indulging myself shamelessly all afternoon. I got some mad money from a relative, and proceeded to go slightly mad with it, to wit:
Strip steak and bacon from the Kent meat market (why yes, I am feeling carnivorous, and I've wanted bacon and spinach salad for months now).
One box of Annie's mac & cheese, four bottles of ginger beer, one bar of lemon soap, one bar of lavender soap, one bar of chocolate with caramel in it (fell off the wagon there, oops) and one vanilla bean from the natural foods market. Lesson learned: the natural foods market is too bloody expensive. I couldn't resist the Annie's, though. That's the only place in Kent that has it.
One coffee drink from the newly opened Starbucks across from the laundromat. (If I hadn't had mad money, I wouldn't have set foot in the place.) I managed to come away from that with a coupon for a free drink next time, because it took three people about ten minutes to make me a decaf mocha with ice in it. I wasn't in a hurry, and I wasn't annoyed, but they gave me the coupon anyway.
All in all, a successful endeavor, and I still have a little left over. And I didn't get rained on, even though it's threatening to, and my W-2 forms showed up, so I can do my taxes this weekend. Um, yay? Well, anyway, happy Friday.
