It's been too bloody cold for the last couple of days. I think it's affecting my brain. Of all the days to decide to have the final argument with the storm windows, I picked last night. I got all but one of them down, although I did have to resort to using a screwdriver. This is what I get for having four windows in my bedroom, although it's the biggest bedroom I've ever had.

I hate being cold. I can't fall asleep when I'm cold, and despite the featherbed and the enormous flannel comforter, I lie in bed shivering for about half an hour and trying to keep my feet in a somewhat-warm spot. I used to feel bad for my boyfriends in the winter because my feet are perpetually cold and I can't imagine what it's like getting into a warm bed and encountering somebody whose feet are like ice cubes.

The fact that it's too cold to snow is just Wrong.

Try filling a hot water bottle, wrapping it in a towel, and throwing it under the covers by your feet. Wiley's been doing that for the past couple weeks and it's making him happy.

Since the heat vent is right next to my bed, sometimes I wait until it starts blowing hot air and stick my feet out the side of the bed to warm them up that way. It doesn't warm up the bed much, but it does at least warm up my feet.
