weather.com is predicting snow in some form or other every day for the next ten days. Even though it didn't really snow here until December, I wish it would stop snowing sooner than mid-March. There's a syllogism there about snow being part of winter, and everything up to March 20 being part of winter, and therefore snow being part of March, but I don't want to be reasonable; I want it to be spring.
Despite the weather and the incipient project management meeting (for which I should have a detailed work breakdown structure, and don't), I feel better today. I'm still not thrilled with myself in general, but I can live with it. My case study turned out not to be as bad as I thought it would, although the corporate minutes turned out to be worse. My draft translations have gone right downhill, because I put them off and then I don't bother trying to smooth them out as much as I used to. So, when I get asked how I translated some collocation or other and I say I translated it literally even though I knew it was wrong (because I didn't bother tracking it down, because it was only a draft), I look lazy. Since we don't hand in the draft versions, I can get away with it and only come off looking lazy instead of looking incompetent. I get decent grades on the final versions, though.
Anybody got a suggestion as to how to get a word count from a web page? My idea is to try to get it saved as RTF and do it that way (although I'm not sure that's possible in the first place).
I need my hair trimmed. My bangs are getting long, which I can deal with myself, but I'm not sure what to do about the intermediate bits between the bangs and the long parts.
Somebody told the leech that the coffee hour time had changed, so he's probably going to show up on Thursday. I hope I find somebody else to talk to before he gets there, or he finds somebody else to monopolize.
If I want to get any sort of glossary work done today, I'd better get going. I have to go to the library anyway.
