I have GOT to teach Lily to read digital clocks. She woke me up at 2:15 this morning and proceeded to make a pest of herself until 5:30, at which point I got annoyed, turned the light on and clipped another three of her claws before she figured out what I was doing. (I got her but good when I turned the light on, too. She was looking right at it, and sat there blinking for a while.) Then she let me sleep for another hour.

It would've been a lot more convenient if today had been the Veterans Day holiday, instead of next Monday.

I do not have enough brain right now to be keeping track of everything I'm supposed to be keeping track of today. To wit, room scheduling and food and parking for three committee meetings and one conference call that has suddenly become a meeting, and logistics for one conference call I really shouldn't have anything to do with but am dealing with anyway.

And then there's the tracking of letters received for four other committees, and the materials for the conference-call-cum-meeting, and the mess otherwise known as the materials for the committee meeting at the end of November, and and and...

I should've known it was going to be this sort of day when I had to run two stops to catch the bus this morning. I think Friday the 13th fell off its pogo stick and landed heavily on Monday the 5th.

At least I have clean laundry and bean soup and beer at home, so I don't have to think about any of that stuff. I just have to get there with enough brain left to remember the bean soup.
