I really need a *pop*-you're-elsewhere cloak. At this rate I might as well sign up for the Amtrak equivalent of frequent flier miles. (And in the short term, the cloak would really be useful in terms of not standing around on the ice and/or in the snot-freezing weather, waiting for buses to show up.)

It would also be useful if, now that the December SOP agenda is down to two items, we could just cancel it. That would make my life slightly easier, especially since I've taken over the meeting scheduling for the six committees my boss and I are in (nominal) charge of.

Happy Hanukkah to them what observes it. How many ways is the name of that holiday commonly spelled in English, anyhow? I can think of at least three.

Union St. got salted sometime yesterday and was in much better shape by the time I got home last night.

As a result of me not remembering until October to send back the contract the oil company sent me in August, I haven't had oil delivered yet. Thank goodness the tank was full when I moved in, because as of two weeks ago it was slightly under half full. I finally got around to calling the oil company today, and I'm supposed to get the tank topped up on the 14th. Hooray! I have no interest in being cold if I don't have to, even if it would serve me right for being a thundering idiot.
