That was a serious thunderstorm we had last night. It scared Lily into the back of the closet, and Snip into the back of the cat carrier after I talked her out from under the futon. I don't think I've ever seen Snip try so hard to pretend she wasn't there. I love thunderstorms, generally speaking, but I'm happiest when they're outdoors and I'm indoors. Watching it rain that hard is more fun than being caught in it. I bet it was impressive for anybody waiting on the tarmac at Logan, too. And I'm very glad we didn't get tornadoes here.

Before that storm came through, I had waited 45 minutes for a bus, due to the (censored) baseball game and the incipient thunderstorms. The thunderstorms meant I didn't want to walk home, which would've been faster. I wish somebody at the MBTA would realize that when there's a day game, it doesn't mean that the only people they should care about providing transportation for are Red Sox fans. There were three people on the bus who had actually been to the game; the other 50 or so of us were commuters who had been waiting for buses that didn't show up. This is why I hate baseball. (Well, mostly, anyway.)

Today, the weather is gorgeous. I wish I were outdoors in it. Perhaps today I'll walk home, since I'm not likely to get thunderstormed at.
