I woke up this morning feeling better. Better enough to make plans of a sort, anyway. Since I have the 19th off, I'm taking the 16th off too and turning it into a 4-day weekend. That gives me a little more time to play with, besides. Even if I only go to Noank, at least it will be a change of scenery, and maybe I'll do something really silly like bring one of the bread recipes I've been dying to try and make bread in a kitchen designed for it.

I also let my instant-gratification demon out last night and ordered some stuff from Amazon, and sprung for two-day shipping. That means I have to take a couple of hours off tomorrow afternoon to come home and wait for the UPS man, or I won't get the stuff until I can get to the UPS depot in Southie on Monday night, and that defeats the purpose of (almost) instant gratification. (I love the fact that I can do stuff like that as long as I ask first.)

Want to hang out tonight?

And on a completely different subject, would you pass along the following to your cousin: http://www.xericfoundation.com/ (Courtesy of Neil Gaiman's blog. Its a foundation that gives out money to those who are trying to self-publish a graphic novel. They have given out $2million in funds since 1992)

I may have to go pick up my package from Southie tonight, due to the phone coverage schedule at work today. In any case, I should be done with that by 7:00. Is that too late?

Its never too late! I'll take the T home and wait for you to give me a call. This gives me time to clean out my car. I'm flexible. We can meet up wherever you want. I don't want to stay out too late since I have a buttload of stuff to get done tomorrow (thanks to everything I didn't get done last weekend piling up). Why don't you give me a buzz at work when you get two secs.

Hey, I just spoke to my co-worker. His lease is up in August/September, the apartment is within walking distance of HVD Sq, they do allow cats as pets, and his rent is $900/month! Bingo! He asked if I can put you two in touch with each other so he can see if he can arrange for you to talk to his landlord and fill out whatever needs to be filled out etc. Which email addy should I give him to talk to you?

Liz

thank you!

Give him my gmail address: molly[dot]deschenes[at]gmail[dot]com

I guess that means I don't have to activate the Friendly Neighborhood Reminder Service, which has been known to show up with a spontaneous marching band by way of reminding people of things... :)
