Aug. 26th, 2011 04:50 pmI wish the media these days didn't require something to yap about 24/7. It's a hurricane, not the end of the world as we know it. I do wish I knew when and how hard it's going to rain tomorrow, so I know whether I should expect to swim home from my voice lesson. But of course nobody's talking about that.
I shipped the 300-word translation test off to TransPerfect this morning, having gotten it yesterday morning. I know they received it, but I won't know for a while whether or not I passed. I know I don't like the last sentence, but I technically didn't have to translate the last sentence anyway. We'll see if I get away with it. (Also not the end of the world if I don't get away with it, since I have a full-time job that would really like me not to leave it.)
Tonight: laundry, and make soup with the farmers market stuff that won't last through the weekend.
Tomorrow: shut all the storm windows before it rains, put trash cans in basement, voice lesson, possibly go see The Help.
Sunday: stay home and watch the weather happen.
